New flight connection from Frankfurt boosts Oulu's internationality

Discover Airlines started a new flight connection from Frankfurt via Oulu to Kittilä on 9.6. During the summer, flights will stop in Oulu twice a week, and from January 2026 the route will be operated year-round and fully direct on Mondays and Fridays.

New direct flight from Frankfurt to Oulu begins

Discover Airlines, a member of the Lufthansa Group, is expanding its current Frankfurt-Kittilä route by adding a stopover in Oulu for the summer season. From January 2026, the route will be operated year-round and fully direct between Frankfurt and Oulu twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, without a connection to Kittilä.
The new route will significantly strengthen Oulu's international accessibility and position as a northern gateway between Central Europe and the Arctic region. This development will support both tourism growth and the international attractiveness of the region.
